I need to learn how to use the macro setting on my camera! I'm not savvy at all with the settings.

Basically, a macro lens can focus really really close. Erik says the focus length is equal to the size of the chip, but that seems almost too fantastic to be true, so maybe I misinterpreted.

In general, nearly everything looks wicked cool that close up. I have a many photos of Erik's stubble, soda pop bubbles, and crinkled cellophane. The other weekend, a friend of ours took photos of the stem of a pear. I highly recommend experimenting with it a little!

I keep trying but it only seems to come out blurry. I'll tinker with it more. My camera has really precise settings for it, so it's overwhelming when I try to experiment. I'll take some cool pictures one of these days...it'll happen.

Quick question: how did you get the layout of your blog to be so wide. Mine seems much narrower and I can't figure out how to change that.
