So there is an awesome neighborhood kitty. He's got long soft fur, amber spots, golden eyes, and his ears bend just a bit at the tip. He is always a gentleman.
During the snow storm, he began to ask to please be let inside our warm house. Erik and I were a bit afraid of how he'd interact with our kitties, so we didn't let him in. But we did begin feeding him, and giving him little treats. He is always polite with his food, he never digs in immediately. He observes all social graces first.
A couple of days ago, we cracked, and invited him in. Hanu and Aketa did their usual hissing and spitting, but he was utterly gentlemanly. He didn't eat their food, he sniffed but did not partake of their litterbox, and he rose above their hissing, turning the other cheek. We are so in love with him that Erik say we can keep him, if he doesn't have an owner, and Hanu and Aketa can learn to accept him. If anyone can win over those two crazy ladies, he can.

oh, he's so pretty! I hope he comes back.
I just saw Perryman at the Kiva! I didn't talk to her, but I wanted to - I wasn't sure what to say! It's corny to say she was an inspiration, but I bet as a teacher she would like to hear that ... maybe next time!
haha this is too funny! curtis and i have a cat that likes to come in to the ferry street house. Her name is peaches (but we call her momo). she is a black and white tuxedo cat, so i've deemed her a gayelle because she is just so cute. we called the owners and they don't care if she comes in so we have a part time cat! hehe i hope your part time cat comes back he looks so sweet and he won't be snack competition.
