Out and about with Erik

This is what a typical Sunday looks like around here - although it's been so long, I'm not sure these are all from the same Sunday.

The conservatory, sunset in volunteer park, a warm and cozy bar, a lost balloon, the Asian art museum, stalking palm trees. We love our weekends.

Rosario head preview

It's been a busy week, I've fallen behind on updating. But, I do have lots and lots of pictures for you! Here is a small preview of a series from rosario head, in deception pass state park, on Whidbey island, WA. I'm giving you all this info because if it's not already, it should be on your "to visit some day" list.

Also, if you click on them, you'll get the big version, and these are at least desktop size.

Alley garden

Jess asked me to take a picture of the "See Rock City" bird house in the alley behind my house. It's in the neighborhood pea patch, so I wound up taking a bunch of pictures.

A walk last wekend

We don't head that way often, but really, lake Washington is just about 7 blocks form our house to the east. It's a very nice walk - after maybe 4 blocks, you hit the "outlook" point, and after another few there's a teeny tiny little beach park on the lake. It's so small, it's redonk. But, it's lovely. The cascades and northern waters never fail to restore me.

The cascade route

The train can be especially pretty on the Seattle to Portland stretch...
