A woman I had a lot of respect for passed away in her sleep last Sunday. I don't feel comfortable naming names here, but I think if it she meant something to you, you already know who I am referring to.
Tonight I've been thinking about her smile, and how her eyes twinkled with mischief. How sweet she was, how empathetic, how she was beloved by all who knew her. She will leave a hole in many lives. I'm taking comfort in the fact that she went peacefully, and knew how deeply she was appreciated by her friends and family.
In her memory, I plan to spend a little more time being silly. It's been a while since I've worn a colander as a hat. I think it's about time.
